Boiler:
Type : Benson, 561 MW (fuel) VKW heavy fuel fired once through type boiler. Tower-type design.

Burners : 16 nos. in 4 levels on one wall, VKW, pressure type atomizers
Fuel spec : HFO, 115-1000 cSt (50 oC), Sulphur content max 3,5%, LFO in start ups (burner level 2), All burners are needed for 100% steam output

Hours operated : 19 000h. Boiler was isolated from turbine and conserved from 1983 until 1989. After 1989 plant has been in operation less than 2000 h.
