STEAM TURBINE GENSET, 137 MW, CONDENSING - TYPE

This turbine was installed in a single line power plant 1962 for burning local lignite. Relocation of the boiler is too expensive due to the old design with brick lined walls.

To secure safe and effective operation the TG- set was continuously modernised, so that this plant is today still of the art.

Steam Turbine Genset,  124  MW, Condensing - Type

This TG- set is installed in a  power plant in 1959 for burning local lignite with 110 MW,
1994 to 1996 the complete plant was modernised, refurbished and the output increased to 124 MW, so that this TG- set is now state of the art.

Main measurements for modernising:
Renewing of the control system and the MCC to Teleperm ME / OS 520,
Renewing of the turbine protection system and installation of a new static exciter system.
Renewing of the LP- turbine with new rotor and static blades with most modern profile, MD- turbine completely refurbished, HP turbine completely new with new casing and blades with most modern profile (1994/1995), according new name plate manufacturing date now 1995

The initial design of the plant was for in exes of 200.000 operating hours without major repair and overhaul. Total operating hours of the plant were 124.000 with 700 starts. Operating hours since refurbishment in 1994/1995 were 16.000 with 70 starts. About 2/3 of all starts were warm or hot starts.
The plant was shut down in 2004 due to economical reasons.

STEAM TURBINE GENSET,  66   MW, EXTRACTION-, CONDENSING - TYPE

This TG- set is part of a power plant with one line 66 MWel, started its commercial operation in 1967. In 1985 the steam turbine was refurbished and equipped with an extraction for 114 °C / 80 °C district heating for up to 20 MWth.

Owner did a remaining life time assessment with the result of > 10 years without major investment but permanent maintenance and component control. Detailed revision reports are available. Plant was shut down in 04/2008 based on the commissioning of a new 400 MWel Gas Turbine Combined Cycle and is hold in cold reserve.
