MACHINE DESCRIPTION
Frame
The machine frame is of heavy rigid welded steel construction.
Adjustment
The adjustment of the two side rollers are hydraulic by ample dimensioned cradles.
Bearing of Roller Shafts
The roller shafts are beared in heavy duty self-aligning roller bearings, filled with lubrication grease and therefore maintenance-free.
Roller Drive
Each of 3 rollers is driven by an independent hydromotor over reduction gear unit. Reduction gears are maintenance-free.
Speed Compensation
Since all 3 rollers are driven by a separate hydromotor, a speed compensation between the rollers is necessary. The hydraulic drive of each individual bending roller allows an optimum speed compensation at each bending situation.
Sliding of the bending rollers on the work piece to compensate the circumferential difference between inner and outer diameter is avoided. This affects positively on the bending quality and durability of the machine and tooling.
Hydraulic Unit
The hydraulic unit is built into the machine frame and easy accessible. The volume of the hydraulic reservoir corresponds to the multiple of the flow per minute. This guarantees, because of the minimal temperature rise, longer life time of the hydraulic oil.
Fail-save, maintenance free and low noise internal gear pumps are used.
Indicators for Side Roller Position
Digital indicators of two adjustable bending rollers position are built into the operators control panel. Readout accuracy is 0,1 mm allows an accurate resetting of the roller positions while repeating jobs.
Guide Roller Supports
Onto the machine front, left and right from the bending rollers are fitted two independent guide roller supports. They guide the profiles to avoid a twisting of the profiles while bending (specially for asymmetric sections such as angles etc.). The guide roller system is also used to give the pitch when coiling. All movements are hydraulically controlled.
The possible adjustments are:
axial to guarantee the evenness and to give the pitch
radial for adjusting onto the bending diameters
slewable for adjusting onto the bending radius center
Mounting of the Tooling
The bending rollers are mounted onto the roller shafts by help of a hoist and fixed with a screw nut. The same screw nut is used to adjust the bending rollers onto the actual profile dimension.
